In all of my years of crazy, round-the-world travel, I had never been on an international short-term mission trip. I’d lived abroad, studied abroad, traveled abroad….but never done a short-term mission trip. And, I can’t say with certainty that I’ll do it again (I tend to favor spending my time in long-term missions). Regardless….it was certainly a pivotal moment. God took me away from home so that I could spend time with Him, surrounded by people who love and worship Him in a BIG way. My prayer for the trip was that God teach me through it. (I get a little scared when I pray for things like that….He’s creative in His responses.) There were a few things that I needed to learn and He answered that prayer and so much more. The beginning of this blog will document what I learned there….and then we’ll see where it goes from there. I’m sure He will take it wherever He wants it to go….
